We have a 6 month temporary opportunity to join the EPA as a Principal Project Officer. The Principal Project Officer develops delivers and supports the EPAs Integrated Assurance Framework to support the EPA accomplishing its objectives and statutory obligations through a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management internal controls and governance processes in line with EPAs values and vision to be a world class regulator.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing assurance audit or governance frameworks with strong knowledge of risk management internal controls and regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver audits identify emerging risks and trends and provide practical value adding recommendations that strength organisational performance
• Strong analytical policy development and project management skills with the capability to translate strategy into effective tools guidance and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence collaborate and build trusted relationships while demonstrating integrity professionalism and sound judgement.

The Audit and Assurance team

The Audit and Assurance team sits within the Governance and Integrity Branch of the EPA. The team conducts internal audits internal reviews (as required) and provides assurance to the EPA Accountable Authority (CEO) EPA Board and Audit and Risk Committee
