We are looking for an outstanding educational leader committed to an Anglican expression of inclusive education to join us.

Based in Fletcher NSW located 30 minutes from the center of Newcastle Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is one of four schools forming part of Newcastle Anglican.
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College (BTAC) is an independent Preschool to Year 12 co-educational school providing Hunter Valley families with a globally innovative and future focused education for their children.

Overview

The incoming Principal will provide visionary and dynamic educational leadership to continue to solidify BTAC into the school of choice for students and staff in the local area and beyond.
Serving as the educational operational and spiritual leader of the school community the principal will collaborate with the Executive Director Education other Newcastle Anglican principals and the shared services team to drive strategy and achieve success for the school and its community . The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in teaching and learning coupled with strong leadership abilities. They will be recognised for their wisdom compassion and dedication to fostering a flourishing and effective learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • A masters degree in education Educational Leadership or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in teaching including senior leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff students and school operations.
  • Understanding of curriculum standards regulations and best practices in education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Capacity to address challenges and make sound decisions.
  • Ongoing engagement in learning and improving educational practices.
  • Understanding of budgeting financial management and resource allocation.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to the cultural and social dynamics within the school community.
  • The successful applicant will possess a NSW Working with Children Check and be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
