About the role

As the Work Program Principal you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Water Corporations maintenance program across a multi-year planning horizon.

Leading the development of annual and long-term maintenance work programs you will ensure maintenance activities are strategically planned accurately programmed budgeted resourced and aligned with operational objectives.

Working closely with stakeholders across Operations and Maintenance you will use data analytics and industry best practice to drive continuous improvement support activity-based budgeting and enhance asset reliability. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong strategic thinking stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence outcomes across the business while leading initiatives that improve maintenance planning processes systems and performance.

What you can expect with this role

In this influential role you will lead the development and delivery of Water Corporations annual and five-year maintenance work programs ensuring maintenance activities are strategically planned prioritised and resourced to meet operational needs. You can expect to work closely with stakeholders across Operations Group to drive continuous improvement of maintenance delivery support budgeting and resource planning. You will be responsible for ensuring our maintenance planning processes systems and reporting tools are fit for purpose to inform decision-making.

The role offers the opportunity to lead business improvement initiatives influence maintenance strategies across the organisation and contribute to the reliable and efficient delivery of essential water and wastewater services for Western Australia. Working in a collaborative leadership environment you will play a key role in shaping long-term maintenance outcomes and operational excellence.

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

A relevant tertiary qualification and possess substantial experience in maintenance planning asset management operational planning or a related field within a large and complex organisation.

A proven track record in developing and delivering strategic work programs leading business improvement initiatives managing processes and systems to govern budgets and planning and applying data-driven insights to achieve operational outcomes is essential. Strong stakeholder engagement communication and negotiation skills will be critical along with the ability to influence decisions and lead change across diverse operational environments.

The role requires a proactive and commercially minded leader with sound judgement strong problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement. Success in this position will be underpinned by high levels of accountability collaboration resilience and the ability to foster positive working relationships while contributing to a high-performing customer-focused culture aligned with Water Corporations values.
