AECOMs environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance manage impacts and reduce risks including obtaining permits and approvals decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites and tackling climate change challenges and resilience. We focus on preserving habitats water quality stakeholder engagement and cultural resources promoting a holistic approach to environmental impact management at every project stage. 

Our hydrogeology team partners with clients across the mining energy infrastructure and government sectors delivering technically robust groundwater solutions that support some of Western Australias major mining environmental and civil engineering projects. As a Principal Hydrogeologist youll help shape project outcomes mentor emerging professionals and contribute to the continued growth of our hydrogeology capability.

How youll make a difference

-  Lead and deliver complex hydrogeological investigations and groundwater studies across mining infrastructure and environmental projects throughout Western Australia.

- Provide technical leadership through the development and review of conceptual hydrogeological models groundwater assessments licensing strategies and regulatory approvals.

-  Build trusted relationships with clients regulators and multidisciplinary project teams while leading project delivery from proposal through to completion.

- Mentor and develop junior hydrogeologists contribute to technical excellence initiatives and support business development through proposal preparation and client engagement.


Qualifications :

-  Extensive experience delivering complex hydrogeological investigations groundwater impact assessments and water resource projects within mining environmental consulting or related industries.

-  Proven technical expertise in hydrogeological conceptualisation groundwater management mine dewatering water supply regulatory approvals and groundwater modelling with a thorough understanding of Western Australian legislation and industry practice.

- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams mentor technical professionals and manage client relationships across multiple projects.

-  Excellent technical writing problem-solving and communication skills with experience preparing high-quality reports proposals and technical reviews.

- Tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology Geology Earth Science or a related discipline along with a current manual drivers licence and willingness to undertake occasional fieldwork.
