About the Role

Aurizon is seeking a commercially minded and customer-focused Principal Adviser Customer Service to lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience business performance and service delivery outcomes.

Working closely with customers operational teams and key stakeholders you will identify improvement opportunities optimise processes and drive sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and assist with the implementation of the overall improvement program for Aurizons Coal Business to ensure targets are met.
  • Driving business optimisation by providing expertise in the identification of opportunities to maximise value and minimise risk.
  • Monitoring and managing the implementation of business improvement project activities in relation to selection scope development approvals progress cash flow and work quality to ensure they are completed to the required standard and within program budget constraints.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement practical solutions.
  • Analysing business performance and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Developing reporting and performance measures to track progress and outcomes.

About You

You are a customer-focused improvement professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for delivering meaningful change. You can influence stakeholders solve complex problems and translate insights into practical outcomes.

To be successful you will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Commerce Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or Project Management qualifications.
  • Experience delivering business improvement transformation or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Strong project management stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data solve problems and deliver commercially sound outcomes.
  • Experience coaching others and influencing positive change across an organisation.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
