The Opportunity

As a Precast Concrete Inspector he or she will be responsible for delivering inspection and quality assurance services across manufacturing facilities and project sites.

This role is critical in ensuring that all precast elements meet project specifications applicable standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of precast concrete elements during manufacturing curing and finishing stages
  • Verify compliance with project specifications engineering drawings and relevant Australian Standards
  • Witness testing activities including compressive strength testing and dimensional verification
  • Review QA/QC documentation such as ITPs test reports and material traceability records
  • Raise monitor and close out non-conformances (NCRs)
  • Prepare accurate timely and professional inspection reports
  • Liaise with clients fabricators and project stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes

About the Inspector

  • Proven experience in precast concrete inspection or QA/QC within construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (concrete and precast)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Sound understanding of QA/QC systems including ITPs NCRs and reporting processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and professional approach

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering Construction or a related discipline
  • Construction White Card
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel across Victoria

Desirable (Highly Regarded)

  • Completion of a two-day course on surveillance of construction works (recognised training authority)
  • Completion of a two-day course in auditing or quality management principles (recognised training organisation)
  • VicRoads TB47 certification
