Tallangatta Health Service is a 61 bed small rural public health service providing a mix of acute sub-acute aged care residential and community services to Tallangatta and the surrounding district. About the opportunity
As a Practice Nurse within the Tallangatta Medical Centre this position will see you working alongside GPs and nursing staff to provide high quality care to onsite and community consumers.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to triage client assessment and care planning wound care and chronic disease management.
This is a fixed term leave backfill position offering part time hours across 3 days per week (0.6EFT). The fixed term period runs from Monday 13th July to Friday 11th September 2026.
The successful applicant will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with at least two years experience in Acute Community Care or General Practice settings.
- Immunisation accredited is desirable but not essential.
- Wound care knowledge and health assessment skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Well-developed computer literacy abilities.
- Commitment to the THS Vision and Values.
