About the role
Were looking for a proactive and highly organised Practice Assistant to join our Perth Energy Resources and Infrastructure team providing dedicated support to Partners Tim Edwards and Amelia Mellor together with a team of senior lawyers.
This is a full-time permanent position offering one day of work-from-home flexibility once fully trained.
Working closely with the two Partners youll become a trusted member of a collaborative high-performing team. This role offers much more than traditional diary and administrative support providing the opportunity to take ownership of billing matter coordination and a variety of complex legal support activities.

Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but wont be limited to:
- Managing complex diaries and coordinating internal and external meetings
- Organising domestic and international travel arrangements
- Managing end-to-end billing processes including preparing bills and WIP report
- Opening and closing files archiving and maintaining electronic and physical records
- Maintaining accurate client and contact information within firm systems
- Supporting matter management across a broad range of Energy Resources and Infrastructure matters
- Assisting with court matters including the preparation and coordination of filings affidavits and supporting documentation
- Monitoring critical dates court deadlines and key matter milestones to ensure all requirements are met
- Providing proactive administrative and practice management support to Partners and senior lawyers
About You
- A minimum of five years experience in a legal support role such as Legal Assistant Practice Assistant Legal Secretary or Legal Executive
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders in a busy legal environment
- Strong knowledge of legal billing processes with experience using Elite highly regarded
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to analyse information exercise sound judgement and solve problems effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build strong working relationships across all levels
- Experience supporting matter management court administration or document preparation will be highly regarded
- Previous paralegal experience is advantageous but not essential
