Join us as Account Manager (PR) where we have big ambitions for the future of DC. We are focused on creating five pieces ofgreat workthat define our next chapter and are working towards becoming Agency of the Year by 2027. To do that we need people passionate to grow client partnerships create exceptional work and make a real impact.
You will play a pivotal role in turning complex data economic trends and consumer insights into compelling narratives that cut through the media landscape for a selection of clients. You will thrive in this role if you genuinely enjoy translating data into headlines building credible media relationships and keeping brands culturally and commercially relevant.
This is a permanent role working on a hybrid model in our Melbourne office.
Core responsibilities:
Own a press office led workflow developing and pitching a high volume of timely relevant stories grounded in data trends and the evolving media agenda.
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists proactively engaging with media to land coverage and position clients as credible authoritative voices.
Monitor the media landscape closely (e.g. economic shifts policy changes travel trends) identifying opportunities to insert clients into ongoing conversations with insight led commentary.
Translate complex data and insights into clear compelling narratives while guiding a junior in the team and collaborating with senior stakeholders across to deliver consistent high-quality output.
A bit about you:
Experience in a media relations heavy PR role (agency corporate or government) with a clear understanding of the media landscape.
Proven ability to develop and pitch data led stories confidently interpreting and distilling complex information into compelling narratives that resonate with journalists.
Established relationships with media and a genuine passion for pitching; comfortable picking up the phone managing high volumes of outreach and securing meaningful coverage.
High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced press office environment balancing multiple deadlines while mentoring junior team members and collaborating across teams.
