PostgreSQL Database Administrator

What success looks like in this role:

Unisys is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with a minimum of 6 years in enterprise database environments to manage and support multiple databases across diverse accounts and projects ensuring performance security and reliability. The role requires strong handson expertise with MS SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL and IBM DB2 along with skills in ETL processes SQL scripting Shell/PowerShell automation and database performance tuning. Success in this role at Unisys requires the ability to work independently take ownership of tasks and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams to deliver seamless database operations and support enterprise service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer monitor and maintain databases including Microsoft SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL and IBM DB2.

• Perform database installation configuration upgrades and patching.

• Monitor database performance identify issues and apply tuningto optimize systems.

• Manage ETL processesfor data integration transformation and reporting.

• Develop maintain and optimize SQL scriptsfor automation reporting and data manipulation.

• Create and maintain Shell scripts and PowerShell scriptsfor routine maintenance automation and operational efficiency.

• Implement and manage database security user access backup and disaster recovery processes.

• Troubleshoot database issues in production and non-production environments.

• Manage multiple accounts or projectsat the same time prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain service quality.

• Collaborate with development infrastructure and support teams to support application deployments resolve issues and improve database processes.

• Document procedures system changes and best practices for knowledge sharing and continuity.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years experience as a DBA inenterprise or multi-client environments.

• Strong hands-on experience withMS SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL IBM DB2administration.

• Experience withETL tools and data integration processes.

• StrongSQL Shell scripting and PowerShell skills.

• Knowledge ofdatabase performance tuning high availability replication backup and recovery.

• Ability tomanage multiple priorities and accounts/projectssimultaneously.

• Strongproblem-solving skillsand ability to communicate clearly with teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to workindependentlyand also collaborate effectively in team environments.

• Australian Citizen/PR holders are preferred.
