About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative research program focused on ecological restoration and conservation through the Corridors for Carnaby initiative.

Working under the guidance of a senior academic you will play a key role in delivering high-impact research and translating scientific findings into real-world restoration outcomes.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of restoration ecology and conservation research projects including fieldwork and laboratory activities.
  • Lead and support field campaigns such as vegetation monitoring seed science soil and ecological assessments.
  • Apply statistical analysis and ecological interpretation to generate high-quality research outputs including technical reports and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Engage with community stakeholders and project partners to support knowledge translation and practical conservation outcomes.
  • Support project reporting and contribute to program delivery governance and team activities.

About you

  • PhD in in botany ecology conservation biology environmental science or other professional qualifications relevant to these disciplines.
  • Demonstrated commitment in participating in high quality research evidenced by publications of high quality in peer-reviewed and respected scholarly journals
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels and evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles.
  • Experience in ecological restoration and/or conservation science including field-based research.
