| Job Description: | Under the PIs supervision be responsible for chemical synthesis and design of molecules intended to be studied for biological use. This requires an ability to review the literature to optimize protocols to carry out experiments at the bench and to use lab instrumentation (NMR HPLC LCMS) to validate experimental results through analysis of data. The candidate must work well in a research group setting and within project teams to share ideas and to troubleshoot research problems such as deciding how to address limitations of existing lead molecules. The candidate will present research findings at lab meetings project team meetings progress reports conferences seminars symposia and assist in drafting relevant publications and grant proposals. The candidate must be proficient in standard computer skills relevant to the job such as using Microsoft Office products Chemdraw and pymol viewer. |
