Job Summary

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Temporary Full-Time employment until 01/03/2027
  • Based in Wollongong with flexible work arrangements requiring 50% office attendance
  • Willingness and ability to travel to regional NSW
  • Salary ranges from $99938 to$110271 pa. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Post Placement Support Officer will provide pre and post placement support to Government Agencies and State-Owned Corporations who are seeking assistance in the recruitment and management of apprentices and trainees including training contract sign up support selection of the training organisations mentoring through pastoral care and monitoring the progress of the apprenticeship or traineeship.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide advice and support to government agencies apprentices and trainees to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Mentor apprentices and trainees through guidance support and pastoral care.
  • Support sign-up processes and work closely with agencies supervisors and key stakeholders.
  • Promote apprenticeships and traineeships across NSW Government Agencies and State-Owned Corporations through high-quality program support.

  • Current drivers licence and a willingness to travel
