Policy Manager (Temporary Opportunity up to 24 months)

In this role youll:

Play a key leadership role in a first-of-its-kind project to strengthen security and emergency preparedness at NSWs busiest transport interchanges.
Manage a team developing operational plans that enable Transport to prepare for and respond to security incidents at high-profile high-density locations.
Lead engagement with diverse stakeholders to produce and implement policies that protect passengers frontline staff and critical infrastructure from security threats.

About you

Experienced policy professional with relevant tertiary qualifications.
Capable of simultaneously delivering multiple work programs in a context of limited resources and tight deadlines.
Adaptable highly driven and able to work collaboratively in a complex stakeholder environment with the willingness to work outside regular hours and travel on occasion.


This is a temporary opportunity from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028 based in Sydney (Elizabeth Street) with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.
