Policy and Research Officer Hybrid

• 4 days Part time (32 hours) permanent opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyse qualitative and quantitative research to support population health policy and health promotion initiatives.
• Undertake literature reviews evidence appraisals data collection and evaluation activities.
• Analyse data using tools such as Excel Stata NVivo Qualtrics and TreeAge Pro.
• Prepare reports presentations and visual summaries of research findings.
• Support project planning ethics applications implementation and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and maintain partnerships with communities and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy development population health messaging and program improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in public health health promotion health policy health economics social sciences or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in research evaluation and health promotion or policy projects.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills.
• Experience using research and data analysis software including Excel Stata NVivo Qualtrics and TreeAge Pro.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Current Working With Children Check and Police Check.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in the health or not-for-profit sector.
• Knowledge of public oral health OHV or the Victorian health system.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally diverse communities.
