About the opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a PlanningCompliance Officer to join ourComplianceServicesTeam. This role will be integral in providing efficient and effective service across the spectrum of Planning Enforcement and Local Laws activities.

Yourhigh levelof interpersonal skills with the ability to gain co-operation andassistancefrom others including members of the public and other relevant employees will be highly regarded.

You will make an impact by

  • Investigating and monitoring complaints and alleged breaches of the Cardinia Planning SchemePlanningandEnvironment Act1987 Planning Permit conditions and take theappropriate remedialaction.
  • Issuing infringement contravention and other notices in accordance withthePlanningandEnvironment Act1987.
  • Obtaining preparingand documenting sufficient andappropriate evidenceto support all enforcement undertaken.

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated experience in aplanningenforcement rolewould be highly desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Statutory Planning process and associated legislation policies and planning scheme.
  • Appreciation of Health & Safety guidelines in terms of risk minimisation strategies.
  • Well-developed computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian drivers licence
