Job Summary

Planner Scheduler Toowoomba (with Site Travel)

Ventia is seeking a Planner Scheduler to support planning and scheduling activities across our operations. This role will initially focus on supporting works at Millmerran Power Station with the opportunity to expand across a broader portfolio of projects as you grow in the role.


This is a full-time position (5 days per week) offering stability variety and clear career progression within a Tier 1 organisation. The role involves planned site travel alongside working from the Toowoomba office supporting a balanced routine and the ability to return home each night.

About the Role
As a Planner Scheduler at Ventia youll play a key role in bringing structure discipline and visibility to project delivery. Youll develop practical well-sequenced schedules that support safe efficient and predictable outcomes.
Working closely with site and project teams youll apply strong planning fundamentals to convert scope into executable plans while maintaining clear visibility of progress risks and constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project and maintenance schedules (initially for Millmerran Power Station)
  • Build structured planning frameworks from first principles using either Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to define scope sequencing and durations
  • Track progress update schedules and support lookaheads and reporting
  • Identify risks and constraints supporting mitigation and forward planning

About You

  • Experience in a Planner Scheduler or Planning Support role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (essential)
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
  • Background in construction power utilities or heavy industry (advantageous)
  • Proven ability to build schedules and planning systems from the ground up
  • Strong communication skills and a practical team-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel to site as required
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)

  • Initial focus on Millmerran Power Station with planned site travel
  • Longer-term base in the Toowoomba office
