Working in a strategic Alliance with Thiess and Harmony you will form part of a collaborative team driven by shared objectives and values to deliver operational excellence at the Eva Copper Mine Project.

The Alliance will set new benchmarks for safe sustainable and efficient copper development supported by commitments to local employment and procurement new-to-industry and Indigenous workforce development and meaningful engagement in the local community.

The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa.

The Project is an iron-oxide copper-gold resource featuring multiple open pits and is poised to become the largest greenfield copper mine in Queensland.

The opportunity

Are you a highly organised maintenance planning professional with a passion for equipment reliability and operational excellence Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project.

As a key member of the Eva Copper team youll be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities across our mobile equipment fleet ensuring safe efficient and cost-effective maintenance execution to maximise equipment availability and reliability.

As the Maintenance Planner you will:

• Develop and maintain weekly monthly quarterly and annual maintenance plans for mobile plant and equipment in line with OEM recommendations and site maintenance strategies.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules breakdown repairs labour parts tools and resources to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.
• Monitor equipment reliability maintenance performance and planning effectiveness while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site operations

About you

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Diesel Fitter or similar) or relevant Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance planning role within mining resources or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of mobile plant maintenance practices and OEM maintenance requirements.
• Experience using maintenance planning scheduling and asset management systems.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance and environmental standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across Maintenance Mining and Processing teams.
• Experience supporting reliability improvement initiatives condition monitoring programs and maintenance strategy development.
