Placement Officer

The School of Nursing and Midwifery are excited to share a fixed-termopportunityfor the role of PlacementOfficer commencing in October 2026 

The Placement officer position is a part-time opportunity based at the Logan campus supporting Nursing and Midwifery disciplines to deliver placements. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative tasks relating to placements 

The role will be part of the Clinical Placement Office and will work closely with both professional and academic staff from the Nursing and Midwifery disciplines under the guidance of the Placement Team Leader. 

About you

We are seeking a team member who is motivated highly organised and experienced administrator/placement officer who thrives in a dynamic fast paced work environment. Ability to work in a team high attention to detail and intermediate to advanced software skills are required. Placement experience would be beneficial. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Providing administrative support for studentplacementincluding the allocation coordination and/or management ofplacementprograms. 

• Utilisingplacementsoftware to manage the ongoingplacementrequirements and accurate reporting as needed. 

• Attendingmeetings of relevance to the role including placement officer meetings at the School and Health Group discipline-specific meetings for Nursing and Midwifery as required.

This is a fixed-term (until 01 April 2027) part-time (0.60FTE) position primarily based at Griffith University Logan. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $82415 - $92456 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $96426 - $108174 per annum.
