Job Summary

  • Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network
  • Strathalbyn (GEM Unit)
  • Salary: AHP2 - $91785 - $106330 p.a. (pro-rata) 12% Super Leave Loading and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
  • Part time temporary to 3rd August 2026 working 22.5hrs per week

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING

An opportunity to embark on a rewarding career with SA Health where you will play a key role in delivering highquality physiotherapy services to older adults within the Strathalbyn Hospital GEM Unit. Covering a maternity leave position this role offers the opportunity to apply and further develop your clinical expertise in geriatric care while contributing to integrated patientcentred services that support independence function and safe transitions of care.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide geriatric physiotherapy care within the Strathalbyn Hospital GEM Unit supporting mobility function and safe discharge.
  • Manage a varied caseload within a multidisciplinary team in a rural agedcare setting.
  • Contribute to clinical supervision quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

  • Are you passionate about working with older adults and supporting positive ageing outcomes within a multidisciplinary team
  • Can you build effective respectful relationships and communicate clearly with patients families and health professionals from diverse backgrounds
  • Are you organised safetyfocused and confident managing a complex clinical caseload in a structured hospital environment
  • Do you enjoy handson clinical work and problemsolving to improve mobility function and independence

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE

You will.

  • Apply your physiotherapy expertise to assess plan and deliver evidencebased interventions aligned with geriatric care protocols and clinical standards.
  • Support older adults to achieve functional and restorative goals through collaborative patientcentred care planning and intervention.
  • Contribute to a highperforming multidisciplinary team through clinical support supervision mentorship and sharing of best practice.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement service development and initiatives that enhance physiotherapy services within the GEM Unit and rural community.
