About the role
As the Pharmacy Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical purchasing and inventory management within the Pharmacy Department. You will work closely with pharmacy staff suppliers and stakeholders to ensure pharmaceutical products are sourced received managed and distributed effectively.

Your day will look a little like this:

• Manage the procurement and supply of pharmaceuticals to support operational requirements across Cabrini Health.
• Monitor inventory levels backorders credits and urgent medication requests to ensure continuity of supply.
• Maintain purchasing systems process invoices and documentation and ensure accurate purchasing records.
• Coordinate stock receipt replenishment stock rotation expiry date management stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Participate in product recalls stock quarantine processes and source alternative or specialised medications as required.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff suppliers and key stakeholders while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

What were looking for:

• Previous experience within a healthcare organisation or hospital environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical purchasing product management/maintenance and stock control activities.
• Experience participating in stocktakes and inventory management processes.
• Experience with iPharmacy preferable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise competing demands and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
