The Purpose:
The Performance & Reward Leadis responsible forshaping and leading APs performance reward and recognition strategy to drive a high-performing engaged workforce. Combining strategic leadership with operational excellence the role ensuresremuneration performance and payroll practices areequitable competitive commercially sound and aligned with APs business strategygovernanceand regulatory obligations.
As APs subject matter expert the roleleads the end-to-end performance and reward framework including My Contributionremunerationreviews executiveremuneration benefits recognitionremunerationgovernance WGEA reporting Boardremunerationpapers people insights and payroll operations. Working closely with the Chief People & Culture Officer senior leaders and key corporate functions the roleprovidestrusted advice governance and data-driven insights that enable transparentinformedand sustainable workforce decisions across the organisation.
Key Outcomes the Role Owns:
- Lead and evolve APs performance and reward strategy ensuringremunerationand recognition frameworks are fair marketcompetitiveand aligned to business strategy.
- Oversee the end-to-end annualremunerationreview includingremunerationmodelling governance executiverecommendationsand Board reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement of APs performance framework ensuring meaningful performance conversations and a culture of accountability and growth.
- Providetrusted advice to executives and senior leaders onremuneration performancegovernanceand complex workforce decisions.
- Lead payroll operations ensuringaccuratecompliantand efficient delivery while strengthening controlsgovernanceand service excellence.
- Develop insightfulpeopleanalytics and dashboards that inform strategic workforceremunerationand performance decisions.
- Manageremunerationgovernance regulatory reporting salarybenchmarkingand external reporting requirements including WGEA.
- Build strong partnerships across People & Culture Finance Risk Legal and the broader business to influence enterprise-widepeopleoutcomes.
Werelooking for a commercially minded Performance & Reward leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and thrives partnering with executive stakeholders.
Youllbring:
- Significant experienceleading enterprise-wide Performance & Reward functions includingremunerationreviews executiveremuneration incentive design marketbenchmarkingandremunerationgovernance.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Executive Leadership Teams and preparing high-quality Board and Board Committee papers providing trusted advice on remuneration governance and workforce matters.
- Proven experience designingimplementingand embedding performance management and accountability frameworks that drive a high-performance culture.
- Strong knowledge of Australianremunerationpractices executiveremunerationgovernance performance management employmentlegislationand regulatory obligations.
- Experience within a regulated industry ideally financial services with exposure to the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) or similar accountability frameworks highly regarded.
- Strong analytical capability with experience inremunerationmodelling workforceanalyticsand translating data into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Experience leading payrollremunerationgovernance or related operational functions ensuring strong controlscomplianceand continuous improvement.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across Executive leadershipBoardsand key corporate functions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Business FinancePsychologyora relateddiscipline.
