Were seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator to join our Architecture & Software Engineering Operations this role youll be responsible for the ongoing administration optimisation and reliability of RMITs PeopleSoft Campus Solutions platform helping ensure one of the Universitys most critical enterprise systems continues to perform at its best.
About the Role
As the PeopleSoft Administrator youll provide technical administration and operational support for the Universitys Student Administration Management System (SAMS). Youll work closely with platform specialists developers database administrators and infrastructure teams to maintain secure stable and high-performing environments while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hands-on technical role where youll contribute across operational support system optimisation platform upgrades and enterprise change activities.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll play an important role in maintaining the health and performance of the Universitys PeopleSoft environment by:
Administering and supporting PeopleSoft application servers web servers and Process Scheduler environments
Managing PeopleSoft patching upgrades and vulnerability remediation activities
Coordinating deployments and change management using Phire
Supporting environment refreshes database cloning and configuration management
Monitoring nightly batch processing and resolving platform issues before they impact users
Investigating incidents troubleshooting complex technical issues and driving root cause analysis
Developing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures
Working collaboratively with infrastructure database development and project teams to deliver reliable enterprise services
Identifying opportunities to improve platform performance automation and operational efficiency
About You
Youll be an experienced enterprise systems administrator who enjoys solving technical challenges improving system performance and working collaboratively across technology teams.
Were looking for someone who brings:
Extensive experience administering PeopleSoft environments including PeopleTools and Campus Solutions
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture application servers web servers and Process Scheduler
Experience delivering PeopleSoft patching upgrades and change management activities
Experience supporting enterprise applications within cloud environments ideally AWS
Strong Unix and Oracle administration knowledge
Experience working within ITIL-based operational support environments
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
Well-developed communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across technical and business teams
A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement documentation and service excellence
Experience with Phire Change Management and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will be highly regarded.
