The opportunity

Our Finance team sits at the centre of Netwealths operations ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes from financial reporting through to how we pay and support our people.

Were looking for a Payroll Specialist to join the team in a full-time permanent role. This is a pivotal position responsible for the end-to-end payroll function ensuring accuracy compliance and a seamless experience for employees.

Youll be stepping into a role that is both operational and collaborative. Youll partner closely with Finance and People & Culture navigate complex payroll scenarios and play a key role in maintaining trust through getting the detail right.

This role would suit someone who enjoys ownership takes pride in precision and wants to be part of a team that values agility collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• End-to-end payroll processing across regular off-cycle and termination payments

• Ensuring accurate calculation of salaries overtime allowances deductions and back payments

• Managing payroll compliance across tax superannuation STP and industrial relations requirements

• Interpreting awards entitlements and statutory obligations

• Maintaining payroll data and employee records in Workday

• Reconciling payroll accounts including PAYG payroll tax superannuation and WorkCover

• Supporting month-end activities reporting and payroll journals

• Administering employee benefits and salary sacrifice arrangements (e.g. novated leases commuter club)

• Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

• Supporting audits year-end processes and regulatory submissions

About You

Youre a payroll specialist who understands the importance of both accuracy and experience. Youre confident managing end-to-end payroll comfortable navigating complexity and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing

• Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation superannuation and payroll tax

• Experience interpreting awards and employment entitlements

• Solid understanding of Single Touch Payroll (STP) and ATO compliance requirements

• Experience with payroll reconciliations reporting and year-end processes

• Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders

• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

• Experience with Workday (strongly preferred)
