Were partnering with a well-established values-led organisation to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a national payroll function. Reporting to the senior finance leadership team you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function ensuring accurate compliant and timely payroll delivery across a multi-site organisation.
Working closely with Finance HR and senior stakeholders youll provide expert payroll guidance while identifying opportunities to improve systems processes and efficiencies.
- Lead the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing across the organisation.
- Ensure payroll compliance with relevant legislation Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Oversee payroll reconciliations reporting and statutory obligations including superannuation and PAYG.
- Manage payroll systems controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead mentor and develop a small payroll team.
- Build strong relationships with Finance HR and operational stakeholders.
- Monitor legislative changes and implement payroll updates where required.
- Support audits and ensure payroll data integrity and compliance.
To be successful youll have:
- Extensive payroll leadership experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Proven experience managing and developing payroll teams.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Excellent analytical reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
- The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across the business.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (HR3 and Humanforce experience is advantageous but not essential).
- Experience within the not-for-profit education or community services sectors will be highly regarded.
- Salary of $143000 - $148000 Super
