Payroll Lead
Job Summary
ATCO Gas Australia delivers essential energy services across Western Australia. Were looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to support accurate compliant and reliable payroll delivery in a complex environment.
Reporting to the Manager P&C Services this role provides day-to-day leadership of the payroll team and supports delivery through a HR and payroll system transition including post go-live stabilisation.
It will suit someone whos comfortable working through change while keeping business-as-usual payroll outcomes on track.
What youll be doing
- Keeping payroll cycles running smoothly accurately and on time with a strong focus on consistency each cycle
- Staying across risks picking up issues early and working through them before they escalate
- Supporting and guiding the team day to day providing clarity and direction where needed
- Being hands-on when required while also stepping back to improve processes and how the team operates overall
What youll bring
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a complex environment
- Confidence leading or guiding a payroll team in day-to-day delivery
- A calm structured approach when managing risk and competing priorities
- Solid understanding of payroll compliance (awards tax super STP)
- Experience working through system or business change
- A practical hands-on mindset with a focus on outcomes
