An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join a leading Australian organisationon a 12 month contract.

This role is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys working with complex payrolls analysing data improving processes and providing technical payroll support within a collaborative team environment.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will play a key role in delivering accurate compliant and timely payroll services across a large and complex workforce. Youll be responsible for payroll reporting reconciliations compliance system support and identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls.

Working closely with Payroll HR Finance and IT teams youll provide analytical support while helping maintain the integrity and efficiency of payroll operations.

• Perform payroll reporting reconciliations and quality assurance activities
• Complete month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations
• Support statutory reporting including PAYG Superannuation payroll tax and STP
• Reconcile payroll to the General Ledger and investigate discrepancies
• Analyse payroll data and resolve complex payroll queries
• Support payroll system enhancements upgrades testing and process improvements
• Assist with payroll audits compliance and governance activities
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver effective payroll support

To be successful you will have:

• Significant experience working in a high-volume payroll environment
• Strong analytical reconciliation and reporting skills
• Experience with enterprise payroll systems (SAP experience highly regarded)
• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information

Experience with payroll system implementations SAP Employee Central Payroll payroll accounting or General Ledger reconciliations will be highly regarded.
