Job Summary

In this role youll:


Work as specialist within the broader Pavements team providing state-wide technical expertise technical leadership and innovation that supports the design construction and maintenance of Transport for NSWs Road infrastructure network.

You will provide expert technical advice in asphalt technology to support numerous projects and programs from maintenance works to the states largest road infrastructure projects. Balancing technical excellence technical risk safety efficiency sustainability and whole-of-life asset outcomes you will influence stakeholders across government industry and project delivery teams.

You will drive continuous improvement across pavement engineering practices develop engineering standards and specifications and contribute to national research innovation and the adoption of new technologies that improve sustainability efficiency and network performance and deliver better outcomes for communities across NSW.

About you


You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience of asphalt technology formed across road construction road maintenance asset management consulting or related industries together with experience managing technical risks in infrastructure projects developing and implementing standards and specifications leading technical teams and stakeholder engagement.

You will possess a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science qualification in a relevant discipline from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification and demonstrated and relevant professional experience.

Motor vehicle drivers license issued by an Australian state or territory and Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and travel on occasion are also requirements
