About Wanyarra Mental Health Inpatient Unit
Wanyarra is a dedicated 20 bed mental health inpatient unit providing compassionate care to individuals with diverse mental health needs. We are committed to fostering an environment of dignity respect and recovery where our patients receive the highest level of care in a safe and supportive setting.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on providing essential cleaning and food services to our patients ensuring a clean comfortable and safe environment that supports recovery and wellbeing. The Patient Services Assistant will work closely with the clinical team to ensure a high standard of hygiene and patient care in the unit.
Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitisation of areas within the unit assisting with food preparation and distribution and supporting nursing staff in patient care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and food services (healthcare experience preferred) a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to follow infection control and food safety standards. Training is provided with opportunities to work independently and as part of a team.
