About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Parks team helping maintain and enhance our regions parks gardens and open spaces.

This hands-on outdoor role will see you contribute to delivering safe high-quality public spaces for the community. Youll undertake general maintenance and labouring duties operate plant and equipment and work as part of a supportive team across a variety of locations.

We have two opportunities available:

• 1 x Permanent Full-Time
• 1 x Fixed-Term Full-Time (6 months)

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

• Experience in parks maintenance labouring or a similar outdoor role
• Ability to safely operate light plant and equipment (e.g. mowers brush cutters)
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Physical capability to undertake repetitive labour-intensive tasks
• A reliable and team-focused approach with a positive attitude
• Good communication skills and a professional manner when engaging with others
• Current Class C Drivers Licence and White Card

Desirable:

• LR MR or HR Licence
• First Aid/CPR Traffic Control or AC/DC certification
• Experience operating small mechanical plant
