Relocating to our region:

About the role:

The Community Health Programs operate from GV Healths Corio Street campus and include CommunityHealth and Self-Management Support services. The programs provide a diverse range of services to consumers living in the Goulburn Valley region. CommunityHealth services include: Dietetics Occupational Therapy Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Outreach ProgramPhysiotherapy Podiatry Sexual Health Nursing and Speech Pathology. The Self-Management Support service provides health coaching forpeople living with chronic disease as well as QUIT education and group programs.

Reporting to the Manager Community Health Programs the Speech Pathologist is responsible forproviding assessment and therapeutic interventions to children (06 years of age) and theirfamilies presenting with a variety of childhood-related developmental delays neurological conditions pre-diagnosis Autism Spectrum Disorders and other health and developmental issues impacting the this role you will work as part of our experienced and supportive multi-disciplinary team and will liaise closely with other key stakeholders across a range of internal and external serviceproviders to facilitate a collaborative approach to service provision and positive consumer outcomes. Services areprimarily provided in onsite clinical spaces and include individual assessment and therapy along with a range of group programs.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Speech Pathology and eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Excellent knowledge skills and experience in the provision of evidence-based Speech Pathology assessment and therapeutic intervention for young children and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as an individual practitioner within a multidisciplinary team environment including the ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships.
