Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Teacher of Outdoor Education Studies (OES) to join our College community on a full time ongoing basis.
Reporting to the Head of Learning - Humanities this role will teach Outdoor Education Studies subjects across Years 10 to 12 in a collaborative and progressive environment along with other subjects based on the experience of the successful candidate. The role will include classroom teaching as well as daytime and overnight curriculum-based learning activities at a range of outdoor education locations across Victoria.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Experience in teaching VCE Outdoor Education Studies. A second teaching method in Humanities Science Health and/or Physical Education would be an advantage
- Specific qualifications in Outdoor Education (preferred)
- Qualifications and/or extensive experience in conjunction with an appropriate level of practical skills in outdoor activities including bushwalking mountain biking climbing and abseiling (or willingness to obtain)
- Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning
- Ability to travel to regional areas within Victoria for up to 3 days to undertake experiential activities related to Outdoor Education Studies subjects
- Possession of a current (or be willing to obtain):
- Wilderness First Aid Certificate
- Medium Rigid (MR) licence
- Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College
