About the role

The OT Asset and Project Officer provides a comprehensive range of specialist support services to the Operational Technology (OT) function enabling management and staff to effectively achieve their business objectives.

The role supports critical OT operations including SCADA systems through the delivery of project administration services and end-to-end ownership of OT asset inventory management. It ensures accurate tracking governance and lifecycle management of OT assets while contributing to the efficient delivery of OT projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage OT asset lifecycle processes ensuring compliance with standards procedures and data quality requirements.
  • Maintain and track OT assets (including RTUs and SCADA/IICATS equipment) across their full lifecycle including inventory movements and repairs.
  • Support OT project delivery through administration including business cases project setup reporting invoicing and closure.
  • Monitor and report SCADA project budgets costs and financial performance.
  • Prepare procurement documentation raise purchase orders and manage vendor payments.
  • Support tender processes by preparing scopes schedules and evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting using systems such as SAP (BxP) MAXIMO and OT Configuration Database (CDB).
  • Manage SCADA spares including stock levels logistics repairs and replenishment.
  • Provide performance reporting and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and maintain effective stakeholder communication.

Qualification and Experience:

Required:

  • Certificate in Business Administration or 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Practical knowledge of best practices and industry standards for asset management (eg ISO 55000)
  • Knowledge of IICATS/SCADA equipment and spares movement process.
  • Knowledge of SAP System and specifically Sydney Waters BxP implementation of SAP.
  • Practical knowledge of fundamentals of project and service management.
  • Experience in providing Project Administration and Office Administration services.
  • Knowledge of Sydney Waters Procurement and Contracts Standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of effective quality control and audit trail in both engineering and system administrative functions.
  • Success in working in team/s to achieve business outcomes.
