Avani Living Queens Wharf Residences is seeking an experienced and energetic Operations Manager to help shape the future of one of Brisbanes most exciting lifestyle destinations.

Working closely with the General Manager youll lead daily hotel operations inspire high-performing teams and deliver exceptional guest experiences across Front Office Housekeeping and Maintenance. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing guest service excellence with strong commercial outcomes.

 Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead coach and inspire our Front Office Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to create memorable guest experiences and maintain exceptional property standards.
  • Provide operational leadership across all areas of the hotel ensuring a seamless guest experience and high service standards.
  • Oversee daily hotel operations including rotational management roster coverage with flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
  • Lead hotel operations during peak trading periods ensuring teams are well supported and service delivery remains exceptional.
  • Drive guest experience and service excellence by proactively managing guest feedback resolving issues and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Support brand activations property events and special initiatives to enhance guest engagement and property performance.
  • Drive a positive and engaged workplace culture through effective coaching mentoring and development of team members.
  • Monitor property performance presentation and profitability ensuring all areas meet company standards and financial targets.
  • Drive hotel profit and expense management by monitoring budgets controlling costs and maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews including P&L analysis to support strong commercial outcomes and owner returns.

Qualifications :

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in a hotel Department Head Operations Manager or senior operational leadership role within a hotel environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets control costs support financial performance and achieve operational targets.
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations guest service delivery and commercial performance.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Professional presentation and a proactive hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic hotel environment and changing operational requirements.
