About the role

At Water Corporation were working to ensure the ongoing sustainability and reliability of WAs water services. Our Operational Technology team plays a critical role in delivering innovative projects that support the safe and efficient operation of our assets.

Were seeking a motivated Project Manager Operational Technology for a 2-year fixed term contract opportunity to join our Information Technology this role youll lead the delivery of capital projects that create new engineering assets ensuring they are completed safely on time on budget and to the highest technical and quality standards.

What the role will involve

In this role you will:

  • Manage all phases of OT capital projects in line with Water Corporations project management safety environmental and quality standards.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams through scoping design construction commissioning and asset transfer.
  • Oversee contracts including tendering negotiation contractor management and performance monitoring.
  • Identify and manage project risks ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting project advice and delivery strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders contractors and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Key skills and experience

To be successful you will bring:

  • A degree in engineering project management or a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive project management experience across asset creation projects including contract negotiation and contract management.
  • Substantial experience with Operational Technology infrastructure including SCADA instrumentation and communications systems.
  • Strong analytical communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive outcomes in complex project environments.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar will be highly regarded.
