Operational Risk & Assurance Manager

As we continue to evolve were looking for an experienced risk professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders facilitating meaningful conversations and helping businesses make informed decisions.

Location: Brisbane or Hobart

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and highly respected Risk team where youll have the chance to influence across the organisation build strong relationships and make a tangible impact.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise & Operational Risk youll play a key role in supporting and strengthening risk management practices across the business.

Youll work closely with leaders and subject matter experts to facilitate risk workshops support risk assessments deliver assurance activities and provide practical guidance that helps teams understand and manage risk effectively. Youll also build strong relationships with external stakeholders including assurance and audit partners helping ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to risk management.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with frameworks and processes. Youll be confident engaging stakeholders at all levels asking the right questions and helping teams navigate complex challenges in a practical way.

Were open to candidates from a range of regulated industries. While experience within banking or financial services is advantageous were equally interested in professionals from sectors such as insurance energy healthcare government utilities or other regulated environments.

Youll bring:

• Proven experience in risk management assurance operational risk or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a regulated industry.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Confidence facilitating workshops and guiding group discussions.
• The ability to influence outcomes and provide constructive challenge.
• Experience managing relationships with external stakeholders auditors or assurance providers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into practical business outcomes.
• A collaborative positive and solutions-focused approach.
