Onshore Rig Mechanic Oil & Gas Cataby WA $1187 Per Day
CrewSELECT are seeking an experienced Onshore Rig Mechanic for an ASAP mobilisation to Rig 970 located near Cataby WA. This is an initial 23 week hitch with the potential for ongoing opportunities for the right candidate.
This role is suited to candidates with a strong Oil & Gas background preferably offshore drilling offshore maintenance or onshore drilling operations. This is not a mining fixed plant or iron ore maintenance position.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining fault-finding and repairing mechanical systems and drilling equipment on an active onshore drilling rig. The role requires someone who can work safely in a fast-paced operational environment and adapt quickly to rig-based maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical maintenance and breakdown repairs on drilling equipment and associated plant
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of rig equipment
- Working closely with rig crews to minimise downtime
- Maintaining high safety and operational standards onsite
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience as a Rig Mechanic within Oil & Gas operations
- Offshore or Onshore drilling experience highly regarded
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience working on drilling rigs drilling support equipment or oilfield machinery
- Ability to work independently in remote operational environments
Tickets and Licenses needed:
- Trade certification
- Heights confined space and gas testing
- Drivers license
- Construction card.
