About the Department

The O&G Department operates within a major tertiary-level public hospital one of the largest in regional Australia with over 500 beds and a broad scope of clinical services spanning obstetrics gynaecology maternal-fetal medicine and urogynaecology. The unit manages a high-volume and clinically complex caseload including a busy labour ward a dedicated antenatal clinic and gynaecological oncology support in collaboration with specialist services. The department is well-staffed with a mix of Staff Specialists Visiting Medical Officers and Registrars with strong ties to a structured training program accredited by RANZCOG. You will work alongside a team that is genuinely committed to clinical excellence cultural safety and delivering equitable care to one of Australias most diverse patient populations.

Key Requirements

  • Fellowship of RANZCOG (FRANZCOG)
  • Eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience across the full scope of O&G practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Commitment to culturally safe and patient-centred care
  • Experience in or willingness to engage with training and supervision of junior doctors
