We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer Service Provider Pre-Sales Resident Engineer to support key Service Provider customers in Melbourne. The engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor and technical influencer partnering with solution engineers advanced services teams and TAC teams to deliver customer-focused networking solutions.
The ideal candidate must possess strong Service Provider routing automation and pre-sales expertise with hands-on experience in Cisco technologies and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop technical solutions for Service Provider customers.
Build labs demo environments and Proof of Concept (POV) setups.
Configure and support Cisco Service Provider technologies.
Act as a technical advocate for customers and ensure successful business outcomes.
Collaborate with solution engineers TAC teams and advanced services teams.
Provide technical consultation and customer presentations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues.
Support customer solution validation and deployment activities.
Influence customer technical decisions through strong consultative engagement.
Required Technical Skills
5 years of experience in Service Provider networking environments.
Strong expertise in:
o OSPF
o BGP
o Segment Routing
o MPLS/VPN technologies
Hands-on experience with Cisco Service Provider products.
Strong knowledge of network automation and programmability.
Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
Experience in routing switching and large-scale SP environments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical discussions.
Strong collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
Ability to work independently in onsite customer environments.
Work Model
100% Onsite role.
Engineer must be available onsite during all working days as required by the customer.
