We are seeking experienced NDT Senior Surveyor Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Engineering this role you will perform non-destructive testing inspections on aircraft structures and components ensuring compliance with regulatory manufacturer and company standards IAW EN4179.

while contributing to the ongoing airworthiness and safety of our fleet.

Working within a highly skilled maintenance environment you will collaborate closely with engineers maintenance teams and operational stakeholders to identify and assess aircraft defects support maintenance activities and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

What youll be doing:

• Conduct Non-Destructive Testing inspections using approved methods and procedures.
• Perform inspections on aircraft structures components and systems in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Interpret evaluate and document inspection results accurately.
• Identify defects and provide technical recommendations to support maintenance activities.
• Maintain NDT equipment in accordance with calibration and operational requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety quality and environmental standards.
• Collaborate effectively with maintenance teams and other engineering specialists.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.

What youll bring:

• Recognised qualification in Non-Destructive Testing.
• Demonstrated NDT certification in one or more methods (such as Eddy Current Ultrasonic Magnetic Particle Liquid Penetrant Phased Array Ultrasonic and Radiography).  Preference will be given to candidates who hold the Phased Array Ultrasonic testing skills
• Demonstrated experience conducting NDT inspections within an aviation aerospace or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance practices and inspection procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings manuals and engineering documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating shift roster.

Preference will be given to candidates with existing Australian working rights. For the right candidate Qantas can provide sponsorship through the Skills in Demand (Subclass 482) visa program and relocation support.
