The United Workers Union is proudly affiliated with the Australian Labor we move into our next chapter we are investing in growing our organising capability developing our people and strengthening member-led campaigns across the opportunity As the National Industrial Coordinator you will provide strategic leadership to UWUs national industrial function ensuring the delivery of high-quality industrial advice and representation that advance the rights of UWU members strengthen worker power and advance the Unions main responsibilities will be to:Lead develop and support a national team of Lead Industrial Officers and the Lead Industrial Administration Officer fostering collaboration capability and consistent high performance across UWUs industrial the allocation and management of industrial and legal work across the Union ensuring resources are deployed effectively to achieve strategic and operational priorities. Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of UWUs national industrial and legal case management system ensuring accurate reporting accountability and best practice case with industrial and legal leadership to strengthen systems and processes to drive efficiency and identify strategic strategic leadership to ensure industrial work supports the Unions organising objectives including member retention membership growth delegate development and increased member and promote high standards of industrial practice and technical expertise across UWU supporting capability development within the Industrial and provide timely reports analysis and insights on industrial and legal matters to senior leaders and other internal stakeholders to inform and uphold the Unions values of equity diversity and inclusion in all aspects of your were looking forWe are looking for people who are passionate about and committed to improving the lives of the members we represent. You are someone who:Has a genuine commitment to the values and purpose of UWU including its political and social justice significant experience in improving maintaining and enforcing members rights and entitlements under legislation industrial instruments and the common extensive knowledge and understanding of the Australian industrial relations environment and is committed to maintaining and sharing that significant experience in advocacy through the Fair Work Commission relevant Courts and manage and develop a confidently both in writing and strategically and enjoys solving complex workplace skills and experience in case management and working both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced and changing the ability to enhance systems and drive engage effectively with perform this job you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:A valid drivers licence; andRight of Entry desirable but not essential criteria include:Practicing certificateBachelor of Law Experience in the union or social justice movement or representing Union must have the legal right to work in Australia and will be required to provide evidence of their work rights as part of the recruitment we offerCompetitive salary and generous employment conditions; terms and conditions in accordance with the United Workers Union Employment Agreement 2025 see up to $154655 super leave loading16% superannuation.6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave work payment of practicing certificatesSupportive leadership committed to developing people.A diverse inclusive and values driven opportunity to make a genuine difference in workers and inclusionOur members come from every background imaginable and we want our workforce to reflect that diversity.
