The position works closely with multidisciplinary teams senior leadership and external stakeholders to deliver safe compliant and innovative fire safety solutions across projects and operations. The National Fire Safety Lead plays a critical role in influencing design policy development and continuous improvement of fire safety standards nationwide.
Overview / Scope of Role
- Technical and strategic lead of Introbas National Safety Fire Engineering team.
- Champion fire engineering excellence ensuring compliance with relevant legislation standards and codes across all jurisdictions.
- Lead grow and inspire a highperforming fire engineering team fostering a strong culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive business development initiatives including client engagement thought leadership proposals and identification of new market opportunities.
- Provide oversight and governance for complex fire safety engineering projects ensuring technical quality risk management and successful outcomes.
- Act as an industry leader and trusted advisor in the fire safety space representing the business at industry forums with clients regulators and stakeholders.
- National role with responsibility for consistency capability development and service delivery across regions.
Experience & Capability
- Minimum of 10 years experience in fire safety engineering
- National registration requirements
- Strong technical fundamentals with the ability to work independently exercise sound professional judgement and take full accountability for technical outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability in multidisciplinary collaboration and coordination across engineering design construction and regulatory teams.
- Highly organised and effective team leader able to prioritise workloads delegate appropriately and support delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to clearly convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a mentoring mindset and genuine commitment to developing junior and emerging professionals.
- Confident stakeholder manager capable of building longterm client relationships and engaging effectively with authorities and industry bodies.
Commercial & Strategic Focus
- Responsibility for key metrics such as; chargeability of the national fire safety engineering team and running profitable projects
- Strong Business Development focus
- Proactive commercially aware approach with a strong interest in contributing to business growth market positioning and longterm team success.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial outcomes risk management and strategic objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems processes and delivery models at a national level.
