MTX Design Engineer | Telco

Join Downers Telecommunications team and be instrumental in designing the networks that support Australias mobile connectivity. Youll play a significant role in major wireless infrastructure projects working on Fibre and Microwave Transmission solutions to help deliver the next generation of 4G and 5G networks. THE ROLE

As an MTX Design Engineer youll be responsible for the design and delivery of Fibre and Microwave transmission solutions supporting mobile telecommunications infrastructure projects.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Designing Fibre and Microwave transmission solutions for new and existing mobile network sites.

• Completing feasibility assessments site investigations and technical design documentation.

• Supporting construction and field teams with technical advice and commissioning activities.

• Delivering designs in accordance with client standards project schedules and quality requirements.

• Collaborating with project managers engineers vendors and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

ABOUT YOU

You are a technically strong telecommunications professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced project environment.

• 3 years Australian experience in Fibre and Microwave Transmission Design.
• Strong understanding of Telstra MTX design processes systems and standards.
• Experience using tools such as Pathloss Mentum Ellipse Nearmap MapInfo or similar.
• Knowledge of LTE 5G and telecommunications transport networks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
