Merchandise Planner

Located at our Head Office in Cromer we are looking for a Merchandise Planner to join our this role you will support the execution of our inventory strategy through sales analysis demand forecasting and stock management. Working closely with the broader merchandising team you will help optimise inventory levels maximise sales opportunities and contribute to achieving margin targets.

• Analyse sales inventory and margin performance to identify trends risks and opportunities.
• Forecast core and repeat styles in line with Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets and inventory targets.
• Manage stock levels to maximise availability minimise excess inventory and reduce markdown exposure.
• Prepare and support weekly and monthly reports providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of markdown promotional and clearance strategies.
• Partner closely with the Buying team to ensure a balanced assortment and optimal product mix across categories.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators including sell-through stock turn gross margin and inventory productivity.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of data across planning systems reports and inventory management tools.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business decisions and trading performance.

• 13 years experience in a merchandise planning allocation inventory or similar analytical role.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Retail Management
• Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables formulas and data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to business grow
