MEP Estimator

A leading international project and cost management consultancy is seeking an MEP Estimator to join its Sydney team.

Partnering with some of the worlds largest technology and infrastructure clients the business delivers complex data centre and mission-critical projects across Australia and globally. Role Overview

This role is suited to an experienced MEP Estimator with a strong understanding of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems within a construction environment.

Youll play a key role in supporting major projects from design through to construction preparing accurate estimates reviewing contractor pricing and providing strategic cost advice to clients. Working closely with project teams consultants and contractors youll help ensure projects are delivered with strong commercial outcomes while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare MEP estimates and cost plans across all project stages
Review contractor bids and tender submissions to ensure value for money
Evaluate project scopes and identify commercial risks or cost gaps
Maintain and develop current market rates for estimating purposes
Undertake value engineering and cost optimisation exercises
Provide estimating support throughout design and construction phases
Build strong relationships with clients consultants and contractors
Prepare clear cost documentation and commercial reports to support project decision-making

Skills & Experience

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying Construction Management Engineering or a related discipline
Experience as an MEP Estimator within a construction or consultancy environment
Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and plumbing building services systems
Experience preparing estimates and reviewing contractor pricing
Excellent analytical and commercial problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
