Job Summary

As a Mental Health Social Worker you will play an important role in supporting participants with complex needs through compassionate person-centred care advocacy and therapeutic intervention within a multidisciplinary the RoleJoining our Case Assessment Clinical Team (CACT) in NSW you will be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting SRSS participants with complex needs including individuals transitioning from custody as well as those already living in the community (such as community detention). This Mental Health Social Worker role focuses on delivering high-quality mental health social work support to participants with complex needs. You will conduct psychosocial assessments contribute to treatment planning provide therapeutic and practical support and advocate for participants to access the services they need. Working closely with internal teams and external providers you will help participants navigate challenges build independence and progress toward their position is a full-time max term contract until end of June 2027 working hybrid from our Parramatta Responsibilities:Undertake participant assessments to understand mental health psychosocial and support collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment and support participant progress and adapt interventions in response to changing advocacy and attend case conferences to support positive participant accurate timely and compliant participant records and case to crisis situations including implementing safety plans and liaising with mental health services and family members where participants to build independent living skills and work toward their effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service YouYou are a compassionate resilient and culturally responsive social work professional who is confident supporting people with complex mental health and psychosocial needs. You build trusted helping relationships communicate effectively with diverse communities and enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.A four-year undergraduate degree or a two-year Masters degree in Social Work accredited by the Australian Association of Social Mental Health Social Worker status or specialist training and experience supporting people with diagnosed mental health ability to assess needs coordinate supports and contribute to treatment interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse cultural working with multicultural communities is highly supporting clients with complex presentations including crisis situations is highly you are passionate about improving mental health outcomes and want to be part of an organisation making a real difference we would love to hear from you.
