Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our dedicated team in Busselton. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality person-centred mental health services that support individuals on their recovery journey while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
As a Mental Health Clinician you will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions undertake comprehensive assessments coordinate care and work closely with clients GPs and community services to achieve positive outcomes
Key Components of the Role
Reporting to the South-West Mental Health Manager you will:
- Manage a caseload of clients experiencing mental health challenges across the South-West region of WA.
- Provide structured short-term psychological interventions and therapies for individuals with mental health conditions.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions through face-to-face and telehealth appointments.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Coordinate referrals and connect clients with relevant support services.
- Liaise with GPs and external stakeholders to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to reporting requirements.
- Participate in clinical reviews quality improvement activities and service evaluation processes.
What you bring
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience delivering evidence-based mental health interventions.
- Strong assessment communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge of mental health legislation ethical practice and clinical record keeping.
- A commitment to providing person-centred recovery-focused care.
Essential Requirements:
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
- Social Worker
- Occupational Therapist
- Provisionally Registered Psychologist
- Registered Nurse
You will also require:
- Current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Current WA Drivers License.
- National Police Clearance.
- Ability to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment
