About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Typist / Transcriptionist to join our Consulting Suites team on a part time or casual basis 2 days a week with an immediate start.

In this role you will accurately convert audio medical dictations from healthcare professionals into clear properly formatted reports letters and medical records in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings exceptional typing speed strong knowledge of medical terminology and an unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality and data privacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio recordings of medical reports doctor notes and patient correspondence; prepare proofread and finalise all output

• Format upload and file transcribed documents directly into system databases in accordance with clinic workflows

• Work closely with healthcare professionals to clarify verify and complete dictation details

• Strictly adhere to healthcare privacy regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Essential Criteria:

• 13 years as a medical typist transcriptionist or medical secretary (preferred)

• Typing speed of 6580 WPM with high accuracy

• Strong understanding of medical terminology abbreviations and documentation standards

• Experience with medical transcription software word processing programs and general computer systems

• Ability to prioritise urgent dictations and meet strict turnaround times in a fast-paced setting

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Proven ability to work productively both independently and within a collaborative team.
