Position Overview:
WiSE Medical is looking for a Medical Scribe who will work alongside the Emergency Physicians to support them in delivering prompt quality and thorough patient care for multiple locations. You will document patient encounters and assist in maintaining accurate and detailed medical records. Your role is essential in enhancing the efficiency and quality of patient care by ensuring that all patient interactions and medical information are accurately recorded and managed.
This role requires a valid paid Working with Children Check as well as evidence of immunity to the specific diseases outlined under the NSW Health Category A mandatory requirements.
- Accurately record patient histories physical exams and other essential information during clinical encounters.
- Support Emergency Physicians by scribing with real-time medical notetaking ensuring the completeness of medical records.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers addressing questions and facilitating communication.
- Utilize AI-powered scribe tools to assist in real-time documentation of patient consultations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation generated by AI tools making manual adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Monitor AI tool performance identifying and troubleshooting issues or inaccuracies and provide feedback.
- Perform general administrative tasks including patient registration scheduling correspondence and filing.
- Education: Undertaking a Doctor of Medicine degree; possess a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is desirable.
- Experience in a medical setting is desirable. Prior scribing experience is a plus.
