Medical Receptionist

About the Role:

Excellent opportunity for a customer service superstar to join our small supportive team as a Medical Receptionist the role will require you to rotate across our 4 clinics in Hobart; Hobart City Womens Imaging Rosny & Glenorchy.

This permanentpart-time position will be rostered Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Successful candidates must be available every day during the week and must be comfortable with being rostered at any of our 4 clinics in the area

As a medical receptionist you will be responsible for

• Managing all phone enquiries in a timely professional and confidential manner
• Front of house reception / greeting patients upon arrival
• Schedule appointments for patients and referrers
• Issue patient invoices/receipts and process Medicare rebates as required
• Enter and update patient registration details
• Ensure the reception and waiting area is clean and presentable at all times

Responsibilities include:

• Answering Calls: Be the friendly professional voice that patients and referrers hear.
• Scheduling: Use our state-of-the-art RIS system - Visage
• Maximising Efficiency: Keep things running smoothly by managing appointments.
• Referrals: Action patient referrals from multi-disciplinary teams
• Prepping Patients: Clear communication to patients informing them of preparation costing estimates and other requirements.

About You:

• Customer Focus: Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus!
• Willingness to Learn: Ready to dive into medical imaging terminology.
• Tech Savvy: Advanced computer and keyboard skills are a must.
